Rocket.net offers the first month for $1 on its Managed WordPress and Agency plans. After that, the Starter plan costs $30 per month or $25 per month if paid annually.

The $1 price is also listed on Rocket.net’s pricing page with no end date, so there’s no need to hurry. Below, you’ll find details on month two pricing, possible extra fees, how to cancel on time, and who might want to skip Rocket.net.

What the Rocket.net Black Friday Deal Includes

This deal gives you the first month for $1, not a discount on a full year. The savings apply only to month one: 96.7% off Starter, 98.3% off Pro, 99% off Business, and 99.5% off Expert. With annual billing, you get two months free separately.

This offer runs from November 1 to December 15, 2026. Rocket.net also lists the $1 price on its pricing page and calls it a launch special on the migration page, so it’s not just a Black Friday deal. As of October 31, we didn’t find any bigger Black Friday discount from Rocket.net. If that changes, we’ll update this page with the deal and validity.

Should You Wait for Black Friday?

No, unless you want a discount lasting longer than the first month. The $1 first month is available now with no set end date. Waiting won’t get you a better deal. You can also get two free months with annual billing.

How to Claim the $1 First Month Offer

Step 1: Open Rocket.net through our link.

Step 2: Choose your plan and select monthly billing. The monthly “Get Started” buttons on Rocket.net automatically apply the LAUNCH coupon. Annual plans don’t include this coupon.

Step 3: Create your account.

Step 4: Check your cart to ensure it shows $1 for the first month; if not, enter the code LAUNCH.

Step 5: Pay the $1 introductory fee.

Step 6: Request your free migration using live chat or your dashboard. Rocket.net usually asks for a WP-Admin login and might need SFTP access for bigger sites. They’ll build your site on a temporary URL so you can test it before updating your DNS.

Cancellation Window: The 7-Day Rule.

Set a reminder on your first day. Rocket.net accepts cancellations only through a ticket in the client portal and requires at least seven days’ notice before your next billing date. If you miss this window, you’ll be charged for the next billing period. To be safe, count back from your billing date—your deadline is usually around day 23 of your trial.

The 30-day money-back guarantee protects you during your first month. After that, fees paid up to your cancellation date aren’t refunded. If things don’t work out, submit your cancellation ticket early and check with support.

Rocket.net Pricing After the First Month

These prices come from Rocket.net’s pricing page, checked October 31, 2026. Every plan lists unmetered visitors, a 99.99% uptime guarantee, free SSL, the Enterprise CDN, a firewall, malware protection, free migrations, and daily backups kept for 30 days.

PlanMonth 1Then monthlyAnnual, per monthAnnual totalInstallsStorageBandwidth
Starter$1$30$25$300110 GB50 GB
Pro$1$60$50$600320 GB100 GB
Business$1$100$83$1,0001040 GB300 GB
Expert$1$200$166$2,0002550 GB500 GB

Rocket.net rounds the annual per-month prices. The total yearly cost equals ten times the monthly price.

Agency hosting has ten tiers. Tier 1 costs $100 a month ($83 billed yearly) for 10 installs, 50 GB of storage, and 200 GB of bandwidth. Tier 2 costs $200 ($166 billed yearly) for 20 installs, and Tier 3 costs $300 ($249 billed yearly) for 30. The top tier, Tier 10, costs $1,600 ($1,333) for 200 installs. Each tier lists an Agency Toolkit, and the $1 first month applies to all of them.

Enterprise plans start at $649 a month for 8 CPU cores, 64 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of NVMe storage. The largest listed plan costs $2,599 a month. Talk to Rocket.net’s team to buy Enterprise, and those plans fall outside the $1 offer and the money-back guarantee.

Overage Fees and Usage Limits

If you exceed your plan limits, Rocket.net lets you upgrade to a higher plan or charges overage fees for extra usage. Extra disk space costs $2 per GB, and extra bandwidth $0.08 per GB. Rocket.net also offers discounts if you buy overages as fixed monthly add-ons.

Rocket-net Server Resources Overage Fees

With these rates, 100 GB of extra bandwidth costs $8, and 5 GB of extra storage costs $10 per month. Storage overages cost more than bandwidth overages. The terms mention a visitor overage fee of $1 per 1,000 visitors above any advertised allowance, although the pricing page now lists visitors as unmetered.

What Every Plan Includes

Every site runs on Rocket.net’s Enterprise Edge. Rocket.net says it built the edge with several providers and delivers traffic through Cloudflare’s Enterprise CDN. Its network page counts more than 330 edge locations, with full page caching at each. For WooCommerce, the cache steps aside when it detects store cookies, so carts and checkouts reach WordPress.

The plans list unlimited PHP workers and free Redis. Security comes from a network firewall plus Imunify360 malware scanning on the server. Support runs 24/7 through live chat and tickets, and Rocket.net offers a phone line.

Migrations are free and unlimited. Rocket.net builds the copy on a temporary URL and says your site stays online during the move.

You don’t need separate CDN, firewall, or image optimization plugins with Rocket.net. A caching plugin is optional. Some plans include one (see below).

What Is New at Rocket.net In 2026

  • Starter, Pro, and Enterprise plans come with a free WP Rocket license valued at $59. You keep it as long as you’re a customer. Business and Expert plans don’t include this today.
  • Agency customers get WP Umbrella free on unlimited sites. It covers safe updates, monitoring, vulnerability scans, and client reports.
  • Rocket.net lists native Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT integrations, an official MCP server, and WordPress 7.0 support on every plan.
  • Hosting.com acquired Rocket.net in August 2025, according to official reports. Rocket.net continues to operate under its own name. Rocket.net founder Ben Gabler became Hosting.com’s chief product officer.

Our Rocket.net Speed Test

We tested a live WooCommerce site (4.2 GB, 18 plugins) on a standard managed host built on Google Cloud, then on Rocket.net. These are time-to-first-byte (TTFB) readings by region:

RegionStandard hostRocket.netLower by
New York480 ms69.63 ms85%
London620 ms73.35 ms88%
Singapore890 ms69.3 ms92%
Bangalore940 ms294.9 ms69%
Sydney1,120 ms46.2 ms96%

To test load, we sent 50 concurrent virtual users to checkout pages for five minutes. Since checkout requests bypass Rocket.net’s page cache, this shows how the server handles uncached PHP. The standard host timed out on 14% of requests and averaged over 2,800 ms. Rocket.net returned no errors and averaged 182 ms.

I ran Google PageSpeed performance tests and noticed that Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) has dropped from 2.6 seconds to 0.3 seconds on desktop and from 3.4 seconds to 2.3 seconds on mobile after migrating from a reputable shared host to Rocket.net Hosting.

Desktop PageSpeed-Insights Performance Report for Rocket-net Hosted Website
Mobile PageSpeed-Insights Performance Report for Rocket-net Hosted Website

Both devices maintained zero Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS). I’m happy with these results, particularly since the tests were performed on a live content website rather than a new WordPress installation.

Rocket.net reports an average TTFB of about 83 ms, based on customer sites before they migrated. Our tests ranged from 46.2 to 294.9 ms.

This was just one site and setup, so your results may vary depending on your theme, plugins, and traffic. Since Rocket.net lets you preview your migrated site on a temporary URL, you can test it yourself before updating DNS.

Who Should Buy Rocket.net, and Who Should Skip It

Rocket.net Fits These Sites:

  • Publishers with readers in several regions, since pages are cached at the edge.
  • WooCommerce and membership sites that hit PHP worker limits elsewhere. Rocket.net lists unlimited workers.
  • Agencies that want the Agency Toolkit and free WP Umbrella.
  • Sites with weak Core Web Vitals caused by slow server response.

Skip Rocket.net If One of These Describes You:

  • Run a new hobby blog with little traffic. Starter costs $30/month after the first month.
  • Need email hosting. Rocket.net doesn’t offer it so you would pay a separate provider.
  • Host anything other than WordPress. Rocket.net supports WordPress only.
  • You plan to store a large media library on Starter. It only includes 10 GB of webspace, and extra storage costs $2 per GB.

Drawbacks to Check Before You Pay

The $1 price covers only your first month. After that, you pay the full plan price, so watch the cancellation deadline.

Storage is limited on smaller plans. Starter includes 10 GB, and Pro offers 20 GB. You can offload media to external storage or upgrade your plan if you need more space.

Rocket.net’s terms require you to keep your own up-to-date backups. The platform keeps daily backups for 30 days but doesn’t guarantee recovery. It’s best to keep your own copy, too.

The 30-day guarantee doesn’t cover Enterprise plans. It also doesn’t include email hosting or support for non-WordPress projects.

Which Rocket.net Plan to Choose

The Starter plan is good for one site with a small amount of media. It costs $30 per month and comes with a free WP Rocket license.

The Pro plan covers three sites for $60 per month, or $20 per site. Rocket.net lists this as its most popular plan, and it also includes the WP Rocket license.

The Business plan covers ten sites for $100 per month, or $10 per site. The Expert plan covers 25 sites for $200 per month, or $8 per site. Neither plan includes the WP Rocket license at this time.

Agency tiers fit well if you resell hosting or manage client portfolios and want the Agency Toolkit and free WP Umbrella. With annual billing, the per-site cost drops to about $16.67 for Pro, $8.30 for Business, and $6.64 for Expert.

How Rocket.net Compares with Other Managed WordPress Hosting Services

Managed WordPress hosts limit different features, like visits, PHP workers, storage, or server size. Compare plans based on your own traffic, not just the advertised prices.

Rocket.net shares a TTFB comparison on its homepage, showing about 83 ms, compared to 142 ms for Flywheel, 504 ms for Kinsta, 616 ms for WP Engine, and 625 ms for Cloudways.

TTFB Comparison Rocket-net vs. Other Managed WordPress Hosts

This is Rocket.net’s own data from customer sites, not independent tests, so it’s best to check these numbers on your own site.

Consider other hosts if you need email in the same account, want to run non-WordPress apps, or want the lowest monthly price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is the Rocket.net $1 first month only a Black Friday deal?

A: No. Besides the Black Friday campaign window running from November 1 to December 15, 2026, Rocket.net also lists the $1 first month on its pricing page with no end date shown. As of October 31, 2026, we couldn’t find any announcement of a larger Black Friday discount from Rocket.net.

Q: Which plans get the $1 first month?

A: Managed WordPress plans (Starter, Pro, Business, and Expert) and all ten Agency tiers. Enterprise plans are quote-based and are not part of the offer.

Q: Do I need a coupon code?

A: Not through our link. Rocket.net’s monthly sign-up buttons apply the coupon automatically. If your cart does not show $1, enter “LAUNCH” at checkout.

Q: What do I pay after the first month?

A: Starter costs $30 a month, Pro $60, Business $100, and Expert $200. Annual billing includes two months free, bringing Starter to $300 a year.

Q: How do I cancel without paying for month two?

A: Open a cancellation ticket in the Rocket.net client portal at least seven days before your next billing date. Rocket.net’s terms accept cancellations only that way. The 30-day money-back guarantee also covers refunds in your first 30 days.

Q: What are Rocket.net’s overage fees?

A: Rocket.net bills disk space overages at $2 per GB and bandwidth overages at $0.08 per GB. You can also move to the next plan. Rocket.net says discounts are available if you buy overages as fixed monthly add-ons.

Q: Does Rocket.net offer a free trial?

A: It does not offer a free plan. It sells a $1 first month with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Rocket.net also says you can request a test-drive account before adding a payment method, and every WordPress install gets a temporary URL for testing before any DNS change.

Q: Does the money-back guarantee cover every plan?

A: No. Rocket.net excludes Enterprise plans. For annual plans, its terms also refund the unused prepaid balance if you cancel within 90 days of signing up.

Q: Does Rocket.net work with WooCommerce?

A: Yes. Rocket.net bypasses its page cache when it detects WooCommerce cookies, so carts and checkout pages reach WordPress while static files stay cached.

Q: Who owns Rocket.net?

A: Hosting.com acquired Rocket.net in August 2025, according to reports at the time. Rocket.net continues to operate under its own name.

Verdict

Rocket.net is a good fit for sites struggling with slow server response, especially if your budget allows $30+ per month. In our test, New York TTFB went from 480 ms to 68 ms. The $1 first month lets you try it on your own site before committing long-term.

Skip Rocket.net if you need email hosting, run non-WordPress projects, or have a small hobby site with a tight budget. If the price doesn’t make sense for you, submit your cancellation ticket at least seven days before your next billing date.
